Evira launches –
the new medication module
We are excited to launch a new feature in Evira that provides enhanced support for the treatment of obesity – where medication can be part of a comprehensive treatment strategy.
The new module is specifically designed to support healthcare professionals working with approved pharmacological treatments for obesity, such as GLP-1 receptor agonists. It allows you to easily record treatment initiation, dosage, and changes over time.
The purpose is not to monitor medication in isolation, but to provide a holistic view of the treatment – enabling you to see how the medication interacts with other interventions and whether the overall balance appears to be right for the patient.
This feature is based on current evidence and clinical guidelines, and enables structured and cohesive tracking of the patient's progress over time.
With the help of the new feature, it is possible to:

Select the relevant active substance (GLP-1 medication) and enter dosage, treatment start date, and whether the treatment is paused or discontinued.

Visually track the patient’s BMI SDS development in relation to the obesity medication.

Filter on the medication symbol in the patient list.

Available substances in Evira: Liraglutide, Semaglutide, Tirzepatide.
Retrospective entry of medication
Some of you are already prescribing medication to some of your patients. Here is a video showing how to retrospectively register the medication treatment in Evira for these patients.
